‘US’ Pendant 2022
To my husband,
This pendant celebrates our togetherness and also our differences. The glass pieces with our portraits are a reminder of the fragility of a relationship and the metal stands for the strength we concur with each passing year as we learn to co exist.
With love,
Pallavi

Brooch – In Solidarity 2021
I created this brooch to support the Indian farmer’s on going protest. The form is inspired by wheat. Wheat being the symbol of food, a necessity to humans. The form are like 9 supports/wheat pillars for the 9 march project. The piece is a conversation about standing up for rights & freedom of speech.

Musing Love – Brooch
2nd Prize – MIC Contest 2019-20
Inspiration:
This pandemic, COVID-19 has given us time to pause and reflect on our actions. This brooch has mirror finish kinetic strips which keep moving with your body movement, making you more aware. The movement and the reflection will make one wonder, look again and be fascinated. A conversational pair of jewels which makes us reflect on our exterior and interior.

Marks of Maturity Earrings
Inspired by the cross section of the tree trunk. The idea is to celebrate birthdays/anniversaries by acknowledging the years, the marks of maturity in the concentric rings of the jewel (pendant/earring). The concentric circles of the jewels are reflection/remembrance of past and celebrates what you have become.
This collection was designed for the MIC contest 2018. It received more than 1,300 works from 27 countries around the world. The 50 finalist physical works were displayed in Antwerp Final Assessment for the first time.
“Marks of Maturity” earrings were amongst the 50 finalists.

Necklace – All that stays…

Intimation – 2016
Intimation is about expressing affection through a touch. The approach is to make pieces which are able to force/ease an interaction with the spectator. The pieces induce the spectator to stare, to touch, to talk or to intimate.

On/Off – Brooches
ON/OFF body switches is a series of brooches using new 3D printing technology (polyamide nylon).
These body switches are more vibrant extension of the Intimation II Body switches. The bright colours of the polyamide nylon helps attract attention and curiosity of the spectator, luring into my INTIMATION.

Rice up! – Any where pins!

Necklace – Burden!

Traces Necklace – Exhibition: “An elephant never forgets…” – 2015

Collection – Progeny 2015
This is a refurbished necklace, created out of broken compressed wood. Making the ‘not so precious material’ precious again.

CONFRONTATION – NEW TRADITIONAL JEWELLERY 2014
The rare-view mirrors in the vehicles inspired me to make this confrontation. My confrontation is about confronting your surrounding. With your vision you can only see what is ahead of you. My jewel gives you the opportunity to look at what is behind you. Remember the moment when you really wanted to look back but then you just walk ahead.
The piece has both literal and symbolic sense. The literal is obvious: being able to look at what you just passed by. Symbolically, reflecting on opportunities, people, relationships, places, etc. we have left behind.

Exploring different materials for creating jewellery and presenting one of the hardest material in a very floral and organic form.
